The Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) will unveil recommendations at COP30 to improve market access to decision-useful nature data, following a series of consultations and pilot tests from June to October 2025. This phase aims to refine nature-data principles, set quality standards for corporate reporting, target setting, and transition planning, and identify critical data gaps for a proposed Nature Data Public Facility (NDPF). Concurrently, TNFD is launching a Grand Challenge—led by Conservation X Labs and supported by UNDP and the German Government’s International Climate Initiative—to foster technology-driven solutions that help SMEs assess their nature-related risks and impacts. These efforts build on previous initiatives, including a COP16 discussion paper and a workshop at Kew Gardens, supported by a global network of partners and aligned with international sustainability standards.
