D8.128 Long-term asset funds (LTAFs)—tax implications

A long-term asset fund (LTAF) is an open-ended investment company or a unit trust scheme authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority in which a statement that the fund is a long-term asset fund is included in the instrument constituting the scheme1.

LTAFs must meet the genuine diversity of ownership (GDO) condition (D8.111) to qualify for authorised investment fund tax treatment2. An LTAF is treated as meeting the GDO condition if its prospectus was published on or before 9 December 2021
