Where an inquiry is to be held into an order or scheme proposed by a local highway authority or strategic highways company1, the appropriate national authority2 must notify the promoting authority3 and each statutory objector4 not later than four weeks after the date of expiry of the period within which an objection to the order or scheme may be made5. The appropriate national authority may cause a pre-inquiry meeting6 to be held if it appears to it desirable, and must serve with the relevant notice7 a notification
